Privacy Policy

Last updated: 5 November 2026

Little Lane Early Learning Hawthorn Pty Ltd (ABN 34 620 949 180), trading as Little Lane Early Learning (“Little Lane”, “we”, “us”), runs early learning centres in Victoria (Boronia, Box Hill, Diamond Creek, Doncaster, Glen Iris, Hawthorn, Kilsyth, Lilydale, St Kilda and Sunbury) and New South Wales (Brookvale and Manly).

This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through littlelaneelc.com.au, our enquiry and job application forms, and our advertising on Google, Facebook and Instagram. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

  • Enquiries and tour bookings on our website: your name, mobile number and email address; your child’s name and date of birth; the centre you are interested in; the days and start date you need; and anything you write in the message box.
  • Enquiries through Facebook and Instagram ads: your name, phone number and email address, and your answers about your child’s age, your preferred start date and the days of care you need (see “Facebook and Instagram enquiry forms” below).
  • Job applications: your name, address, phone number and email address; the type of work, centre and position you are applying for; your qualifications and experience; and the resume you upload.
  • Contact messages: your name, phone number, email address and your message.
  • Website use: information about how you use our site, such as the pages you visit, the device and browser you use, your IP address and approximate location, and the ad or link that brought you to us. We collect this through cookies and similar tools (see “Cookies and advertising” below).

We do not ask for sensitive information, such as health details, through the website or our ads. Please do not include it in a form; your centre will collect what it needs at enrolment.

Facebook and Instagram enquiry forms

Some of our Facebook and Instagram ads include an enquiry form that opens inside the app (Meta calls these “instant forms”). Meta may fill in some answers from your Facebook or Instagram profile, and you can check and change them before you send the form.

The form asks for your name, phone number and email address, and your child’s age, your preferred start date and the days of care you need.

When you send it, Meta passes your answers to Little Lane and to our marketing agency, GKW Consulting, which runs our ads. We pass your enquiry to the Little Lane centre you asked about so it can contact you.

We use this information only to respond to your enquiry: to answer your questions, arrange a tour and talk with you about a place for your child. We do not use it for anything else. Meta also handles the information you send under its own privacy policy, at facebook.com/privacy/policy.

How we use it

  • to answer your enquiry, arrange a tour and talk with you about a place for your child;
  • to consider job applications;
  • to reply to your messages;
  • to understand how our website and advertising are working, so that we can improve them;
  • to show our ads to people who have visited our website;
  • to keep our website and forms secure and free of spam;
  • to meet our legal obligations.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with:

  • the Little Lane centre you are enquiring about or applying to;
  • our marketing agency, GKW Consulting, which manages our website and advertising for us;
  • service providers who help us run our website, enquiries, analytics and advertising. They include our website host and our enquiry management system (both in Australia), Google (Analytics, Tag Manager, Ads, reCAPTCHA, Maps and Fonts), Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Cloudflare, which helps deliver and protect our website, and Vimeo, which plays the videos on our site. They may use the information only to provide their services to us;
  • government agencies or others where the law requires it.

Information sent overseas

Some of these providers store or process information outside Australia, mainly in the United States and Europe. This includes Google, Meta, Cloudflare and Vimeo, and the AI service providers described under “Google data and our marketing tools” below. We use reputable providers that protect personal information to a standard comparable to Australian law.

Cookies and advertising

Our website uses cookies and similar tools from:

  • Google Analytics, to measure visits and see how people use our site;
  • Google Ads and the Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram), to measure our ads and show our ads to people who have visited our site;
  • Google reCAPTCHA and our website’s security software, to stop spam and attacks on our forms and site;
  • Google Maps and Vimeo, when you view a map or play a video on our site.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. You can also opt out of Google Analytics at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, manage Google ad personalisation at adssettings.google.com, and manage the ads you see on Facebook and Instagram in your ad preferences in each app.

Waitlists and the parent portal

Some centre pages link to Kidsoft, the childcare management system our centres use, so you can join a waitlist or use the parent portal. The details you enter there go to Little Lane through Kidsoft and are handled under this policy and Kidsoft’s own privacy policy.

Google data and our marketing tools

To manage and report on our own advertising, we and our agency GKW Consulting use software that connects to Google services through Google APIs (the Google Ads API, Google Analytics Data API and Google Search Console API). It works only with Little Lane’s own Google accounts.

  • What it accesses: our Google Ads account’s campaign, ad, keyword, budget and performance data; Keyword Planner estimates; our website’s Google Analytics reports; and Search Console data for littlelaneelc.com.au.
  • How it is used: only to plan, run, measure and report on Little Lane’s own advertising and website. Any change to our live ads is made only after a person at GKW Consulting approves it.
  • How it is stored: reports and records are kept in GKW Consulting’s own secure systems. Access keys are kept in an encrypted vault and are never shared.
  • Sharing: this data is not sold and is not used to serve or personalise other ads. It is not shared with anyone outside Little Lane and GKW Consulting, except the AI service providers that GKW Consulting uses to analyse it (Anthropic and OpenAI). They process it under business terms that do not allow them to use it to train their AI models. Our use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
  • Removing access: access can be withdrawn at any time by removing the connection in our Google accounts. We then delete the stored data on request.

The software does not collect information about website visitors or families beyond the aggregated reports described above.

Keeping it safe

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, change or disclosure. We keep it only as long as we need it, or as long as the law requires, and then delete or de-identify it.

Seeing or correcting your information

You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it. Contact us using the details below. We will reply within 30 days.
